Be Informed to Inform - Mom, Where Do Babies Come From?

“Where do babies come from” is a structured  workshop where up to 10 parents (moms and dads) meet and are informed on how to communicate with their children on sex, when to communicate and why it needs to be communicated. This programme will meet  the need for  parents to be  informed about “ sex talking” with children

Following this there will be discussion and debate on how to answer awkward  questions posed by children. The workshop is 90 min long.

The tone of this workshop  is relaxed and casual due to the nature of the discussions. Any person that is interested is asked to host and recruit friends, and this workshop is therefore conducted on demand.

I have counselled children and families for 9 years, working closely with moms and their babies for the past 5 years .

I believe strongly in the values and necessity of having this  kind of discussion with our children not only to teach them how to protect themselves, but more importantly the goodness that it brings to the relationship between mom/dad and child.

Sex is never an easy subject to discuss with children.

  • Do you struggle to find the right words?
  • Are you not sure of what to say?
  • Does talking about sex make you feel awkward?
In a small group of your choice, you can be informed about:
  • How to chat to your child about sex
  • why it’s important to talk sex
  • what to say to him, when and how
  • how to answer those awkward questions
  • how to relate to your child on a more meaningful level

Parents with children from ages 1 year to teens are welcome!

I look forward to hearing from you!

I thoroughly enjoyed the chat which I attended at the DCC a little while back and have been implementing the ideas slowly into my immediate family (my mom has also been supporting me) and influencing my friends and family as well.
