A Little More Fun At uShaka!

Designed for children between two and 10, uShaka Kids World (formerly Rayz) offers a plethora of activities and interactive experiences to keep uShaka’s younger visitors occupied and give parents some time out!

The star attraction is undoubtedly one of Africa’s largest Jungle Gyms. Lively youngsters can enjoy a 10 metre high adventure with netted mazes, tunnels, stairways, link bridges, swings and so much more …

Then there’s the Water Canon Zone (little daredevils can ambush uShaka’s  Duzi River tube riders with water cannons), Crabby Beach (this 20 metre long stretch of soft sand  gives the age-old sand pit new meaning) and the Black Skulls Treasure Cave and Rayz Gold Diggers where young  adventurers can sift through rocks and slush from the Lost Frogs swamp to find gems of their own.

The On Da Block Go Building Lounge - an educational Lego building lounge with a huge supply of building blocks - will entertain our up-and-coming little architects while the Creative Zone will amuse budding artists with anything from dough rolling to painting, to sticking together works of art!

Tired young ‘uns can crash and watch their favourite shows at the Lazy Lizards Lounge with bean bags shaped like liquorice and Jelly Tots and a large LCD screen.

Exhausted parents can recharge their batteries at the new and improved Duzi River lounge alongside uShaka’s Duzi River. The Aquanaughts play area inside the Duzi River Lounge lets under fives play in an underwater themed padded space.

Guppies Goo is ideal for Moms and water babies! Designed so you can relax and breastfeed or change your tiny tot in a clean, beautifully decorated environment, Guppies Goo also has nappies on hand and baby sanitary items well within reach.

These are just some of uShaka’s new seaside play treats. uShaka Kids World is open Monday to Sunday between 9am to 6pm. For further information, log on to www.ushakamarineworld.co.za

R40 per child, free for 2 adults with child, thereafter R20/adult (prices correct as at Jan 2011)

Thanks D, do you think I could take my 5 1/2 month son to it , sounds great.
****from Deb: Of course! There's a sandpit and toddler safe area, and super clean changing facilities.

Took my 4 1/2 year old. She had an absolute ball! We were told when we entered that there would be people ALL over to assist us. i was very disappointed with that as we battled to find people to help us with questions and when we did eventually find someone now and again, they didn't know how to answer our questions, like what is "Aquanaughts" that was on the signboard. Also, the "Rayz Gold Diggers" was closed with red tape and no-one could tell us why. It is a fantastic place for kids to play, just wish that we had some more assistance as 1st time visitors. Also, the 2 shows were great!!!
