Rising Star Performing Arts Academy is an extra mural performing arts school offering tuition in speech, drama, mime, movement, improvisation, costume/make-up, directing, scriptwriting and stage craft.

Access to cultural activity is fundamental to human development. If we want our children and young people to grow into healthy, well balanced adults we must ensure they have access to quality arts activities as audiences and participants. A society which grows up engaged in arts and culture will be confident, stable and thriving.

Classes offered in Westville, Hillcrest, Umhlanga, Berea, Ballito, Amanzimtoti and other areas around the KZN region.

On behalf of my husband, my elder daughter and Beths friends and myself, I would like to say an ENOURMOUS thank you to you all for such a wonderful production last saturday. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and were amazed at how confident and talented all the children were.
We have seen an amazing change in Beth over the last 6 months, and can only put it down to her involvement in your drama studio. She has always been a very shy and nervous child. Yet she has always loved performing at home, putting on shows and dressing up and singing in front of her family.Howevershe always battled infront of anyone else.
She took her first big step when she performed in front of everyone singing after the June July workshop, but she found it so hard. Again, she took a big step when she sang at the Westville fair. But she persevered with your encouragement. At the show on Saturday we were blown away. Was this really our daughter? She was so relaxed and so excited to be on the stage - no nervousness was evident.
Thank you for fulfilling her dreams in being able to sing with confidence on a stage infront of so many people. You guys are fantastic. I wonder if you fully realise what a life long gift you are giving these chiildren. Even if they do not continue in dramatic arts, they will have the confidence to speak up in front of a room full of people, to talk to people they do not know, to believe in themselves when no one else does.
I dont want to gush, but our child is so much more confident in so many more areas of her life and we really do believe it is due to the skills you have given her. So thank you. Thank you so much. And thank you for such a wondeful production.
You are all so talented and a blessing to all who cross your path.
