The Duck and Deck Animal Farm is nestled in the Assagay valley just 15 minutes drive from The Pavillion. It provides a superb and entertaining environment allowing children to touch, feel and interact with animals.

The "Duck 'n Deck" animal farm originated in Jan 2002 by John and Shirley Ronald and Geoff and Cheryl Evennett. It boasts 20 different species of beautiful exotic ducks and a pair of Black swans in a landscaped garden. The aviaries are stocked with a variety of birds and pheasants. There is also "Alphie" the Alpaca and Emus in addition they also have Alpine, Dwarf and the very rare Cashmere goats as well as indigenous sheep and fowls.

I took my 10mth old son, and my 85 year old Grandmother to the venue last weekend and to say I was not impressed would be a an understatement.

The venue as a whole is not suited for a pram let alone the aged. And to gain access to the "cafe" would mean leaving the pram at the bottom of the steps!

Perhaps a suggestion would be for the venue's to put in an age suitable criteria to prevent the likes of young families and older Grandparents from trekking up the hill only to leave shortley after paying as the place is not "user" friendly.
