Cotswold Downs offers great Kids and Ladies golf programmes! Cotswold Downs outside Hillcrest has recently taken on these hugely popular programmes and is ready to offer the local community a great way to get into golf.
Dean Le Vieux, the Head Professional at Cotswold Downs, is gearing up for what promises to be an exciting time ahead. “We are really thrilled to offer these programmes and look forward to connecting with the locals to grow the game. Cotswold Downs is situated in a vibrant, family oriented community and we're aiming to become renowned as a family friendly club and these great programmes are just what we need to encourage more people to play.”
- SNAG (Starting New At Golf) is a first touch golf product used in over 30 countries around the world. It is fun, safe, and can be played anywhere making it vital in getting more kids playing. Dean is planning on taking SNAG to the surrounding schools to cater for kids between the ages of 5 and 7 years and encourage more of them to get into golf without having to be transported to the club.
- YMG (Young Masters Golf) is a structured golf course curriculum for kids between the ages of 7 and 16 years. It will be offered in groups at Cotswold by Dean. The programme revolves around a fun folder and the kid's progress through 8 modules with certification at each level. Lessons include skills challenges, rules and etiquette, and even a quiz section. There are currently over 25 facilities around South Africa where YMG is being offered, and the number is growing.
- LMG (Ladies Masters Golf) is also a structured programme designed by lady Pros. It makes learning golf fun and sociable and includes sections on rules and etiquette, the mind, and even great Pilate's exercises designed to enhance your golf swing. This programme has been a huge hit overseas and the same is expected here at Cotswold.
